Vydehi Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) have earned a widespread reputation for providing expert care to sick and/or premature babies. We feature the highest level neonatal nursing care in this locality. Our highly experienced medical and nursing staffs help and assure parents that their babies will have ready access to expert resources whenever necessary. The NICU nursing staffs are registered nurses who have ample nursing experience and have completed a seven week of orientation programme.

The Department of Neonatology is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to high risk newborns and newborns with genetic birth defects. Parents are encouraged to visit their baby whenever they want (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). What is important is the parent-friendly facility, which allows for more frequent and longer visits. Specialized procedures
The 15 bed NICU provides state of the art treatment and most modern monitoring equipments. All of the physicians and nurses take special interest in ensuring that each infant is receiving the proper medications, including pain relief medicines and sedation. A pharmacist is available in the department to ensure proper dosing of medicines and selection of drugs.
