Vydehi Institute of Rehabilitation will have its visiting consultant, Dr. Nancy Dilger at rehabilitation centre from 8th to 13th of November, 2010.
She is a renowned Pediatric Physical Therapist from Los Angeles, California, USA.
She would be consulting our special kids & will give her valuable suggestions relating to thin need of tapping on orthotic supports.
She also would be delivering lectures on “Bio Mechanics” during her visits.
Vydehi Institute of Nursing Sciences and Research Centre, Bangalore celebrates World Breastfeeding Week 2010 from August 3rd to 6th , 2010.
Following are the scheduled programs:
- 3rd Aug, 2010 – Inauguration by Dr. Dinakaran(NICU In charge VIMS & RC) in Channasadra Anganwadi, Bangalore.
- 4th Aug, 2010 – Health Education at Kadugodi government School & Anganwadi, Bangalore.
- 5th Aug, 2010 – Health Education at Sarjapura PHC, Bangalore.
- 6th Aug, 2010 – Health Education at Kalkunte Health Centre, Bangalore.

Vydehi College of Nursing conducts Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) for staff nurses to update their knowledge. Each year one topic is selected and about 20 nurses are trained every Saturday for about 2 hours. The topic for the year 2010 is “Nosocomial Infection and its Control”. The inauguration for 2010 was conducted on 8/5/2010. It was attended by nursing superintendent, ward in charges and staff nurses.
Nurses Day: The Nurses day was celebrated on May 12th 2010 in remembrance of Ms. Florence Nightingale, the pioneer of Modern Nursing. The international Nurses theme for this year is “Delivering Quality, Serving Community Nurses leading Chronic Care”.
Cultural & Sports: As a part of Student Nurses association (SNA), Cultural & Sports event of 2010 were held at Vydehi College of Nursing . The theme for this year was “Reflections of Vydehi”
Once again Vydehi Institute of Rehabilitation, Bangalore is busy with its visiting faculty from California State University, Sacramento. It is yet another proud moment for the staff at Vydehi to have Dr. Steven E. Daley, Prof. CSU, Sacramento, amongst them.
With lot of new things happening, under the guidance of Dr. Steven E. Daley, special kids at Vydehi are going to get benefited surely.
